Tesla has announced a significant recall involving 694,304 vehicles due to a problem with the tire pressure monitoring systems (TPMS), according to a notice from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). This recall adds to a series of others Tesla has issued in 2024, collectively impacting millions of vehicles.

    Details of the Recall

    The vehicles affected include:

    • 2017–2025 Tesla Model 3
    • 2020–2025 Tesla Model Y
    • 2024 Tesla Cybertruck

Tesla’s recall is officially listed under the reference number SB-24-00-018. Affected owners will receive notification by mail beginning February 15, 2025.

To determine whether your Tesla vehicle is part of the recall, visit the Tesla VIN Recall Search Tool and input your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN).

    Tesla’s Expanding Recall Efforts

This recall underscores ongoing safety concerns as Tesla navigates issues across its vehicle lineup. The company has implemented numerous recalls throughout 2024, addressing millions of cars for various technical problems.

    Tesla Service Centers for Repairs

For those in the Lower Hudson Valley, Tesla operates service centers at:

    • 250 Tarrytown Road, White Plains, NY
    • 115 Kisco Ave., Mount Kisco, NY

Additional Tesla service centers are located in Brooklyn, Long Island, and nearby New Jersey.

How to Stay Updated on Tesla Software Updates

Tesla vehicles frequently receive over-the-air software updates that address features and functionality, including potential patches for technical issues.

    To check for updates:

    1. Access the Software tab on your vehicle’s touchscreen.
    2. Look for update notifications, which can be installed immediately or scheduled for a later time.
    3. You can also view updates via the Tesla mobile app.

Tesla owners should promptly verify whether their vehicle is part of the recall and schedule necessary repairs at their nearest service center. Staying current on software updates will also help ensure the vehicle operates safely and efficiently.
