    Compact design with pro-level features

DJI has introduced the Osmo Nano, its most compact and lightweight action camera to date. Despite its size, the Nano carries the same 1/1.3-inch sensor, 13.5 stops of dynamic range, and 4K/120fps recording capabilities as the flagship Osmo Action 5 Pro. The camera is pill-shaped, just 57mm long and weighing 52 grams, making it lighter than both the earlier Action 2 and the Insta360 Go Ultra. With its dock, the total weight is 124 grams, still far below the 146-gram Action 5 Pro.

Modular dock adds screen and battery life

The Osmo Nano comes with the Multifunctional Vision Dock, a modular accessory that provides a touchscreen, live preview, and extended battery life. Battery performance without the dock is rated between 55 and 90 minutes, depending on recording settings, but rises to as much as 200 minutes when docked. The Nano itself is waterproof up to 10 meters, while the dock has an IPX4 splash resistance rating. The dock can also act as a wireless remote with live video previews, giving creators more flexibility.

    Global release strategy

DJI announced that the Osmo Nano will not be officially available in the United States at launch. Instead, it will debut in markets including Canada, Europe, and the UK on September 23. Pricing starts at $309 USD for the 64GB version in Canada, £239 in the UK, and €279 in France, Germany, and Spain. A 128GB model will cost $339 USD, £259, and €309, respectively. DJI has emphasized that it remains committed to the U.S. market but is adjusting its strategy amid shifting local conditions.

    Accessories and smart controls

The Nano supports a range of accessories, including mounts for hats or helmets, making it ideal for hands-free use. Two wireless microphones can connect directly to the camera without a receiver, and recording can be triggered by tapping the device or nodding your head when worn. A pre-record option is also available, capturing footage just before recording starts. These features, paired with its lightweight design, aim to enhance portability and usability for vloggers, travelers, and adventure enthusiasts.
