    A fresh look at Oz

Universal has released the last trailer for Wicked: For Good, giving audiences a final taste of the highly anticipated conclusion to the two-part film adaptation. With its release set for November 21, the preview highlights several iconic songs from the second act of the beloved musical, including “Thank Goodness,” “No Good Deed,” and the emotional ballad “For Good.”

    New twists on familiar moments

The trailer reveals glimpses of the “Fab Four” — Dorothy and her companions from The Wizard of Oz — as well as a reimagined version of a pivotal moment involving Nessa Rose. Actress Marissa Bode, who plays Nessa, had already hinted that her character’s disability would be portrayed differently than in the stage production, and the trailer appears to confirm this change. Fans also get a sneak peek at the growing tension between Elphaba and Glinda, culminating in their much-anticipated showdown.

    A darker Glinda-Elphaba duel

In the stage version, the spat between Elphaba and Glinda is played with a touch of humor, offering comic relief amid darker events. In the film, however, the duel seems to take on a more serious tone. The footage shows Glinda charging at Elphaba, wielding her wand with surprising intensity. The shift suggests that the filmmakers are heightening the drama to expand the musical’s shorter second act into a more cinematic experience.

All-star cast prepares for the finale

The film features a star-studded lineup, including Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba and Ariana Grande as Glinda, supported by Michelle Yeoh, Ethan Slater, Jonathan Bailey, Marissa Bode, and Jeff Goldblum. For Good marks the closing chapter of the Wicked saga on screen, blending beloved music with bold storytelling choices that are sure to spark conversation among longtime fans.
