Return to the stage after health hiatus

Celine Dion will make a highly anticipated return to live performance this fall, announcing a limited concert series in Paris—her first major run of shows since revealing her diagnosis with stiff-person syndrome in 2022. The Grammy-winning singer confirmed Monday that she will perform 10 concerts at the Paris La Défense Arena between Sept. 12 and Oct. 14.

The five-week engagement, titled Celine Dion Paris 2026, marks a significant milestone for the global music icon, who has spent recent years focusing on her health following the cancellation of her Courage World Tour.

    An emotional announcement in Paris

Dion shared the news in an emotional video message recorded beneath the Eiffel Tower on her 58th birthday. Expressing gratitude for the unwavering support of her fans, she said she feels ready to return to the spotlight.

“Over the last few years, every day that’s gone by, I’ve felt your prayers and support,” Dion said. “This year, I’m getting the chance to see you, to perform for you once again in Paris.”

The performances will showcase her extensive catalog of hits in both English and French, offering audiences a celebration of her decades-long career. The production is being developed in collaboration with creative director Willo Perron, known for his work on major international concert productions.

A milestone following years of recovery

Dion has largely stepped back from touring since her diagnosis with stiff-person syndrome, a rare neurological disorder that causes muscle stiffness and painful spasms. The condition forced her to cancel multiple tour dates and significantly limit public appearances.

Despite her absence from the stage, Dion delivered a memorable performance at the opening ceremony of the 2024 Paris Olympics, singing atop the Eiffel Tower in a widely celebrated moment that hinted at her eventual return to live music.

    Ticket details and venue significance

Artist presale registration for the Paris concerts will run through April 2, with ticket access beginning April 7. The Paris La Défense Arena, which can accommodate up to 40,000 spectators, stands as one of Europe’s largest indoor venues and previously hosted events during the Paris Olympics.

With nearly 260 million albums sold worldwide, Dion remains one of the most successful and influential artists in pop music history. Her iconic songs, including My Heart Will Go On and Because You Loved Me, continue to resonate with audiences across generations.

The upcoming Paris residency signals not only a return to performance but also a powerful personal triumph, as Dion prepares to reconnect with fans after years of resilience and recovery.
